South King Firefighters Foundation

Today was another wonderful visit at the Harborview Burn Unit and ICU. Joined by firefighters from the City of Everett and South King Fire Rescue. The entire staff at Harborview is world class and relentless in their pursuit to provide the best medical care possible to all patients. As we had the opportunity to listen to patients and hear their stories, it serves as a continuing reminder that everyone has a unique story and the healing process is truly a team effort. We look forward to our next visit and expanding on our ever growing family of health care providers. ... See MoreSee Less

The South King Firefighters Foundation is a registered, non-profit, tax exempt association that engages in charitable and educational efforts in our local community.

The Foundation was formed in December of 1999 by a group of firefighters that knew they could do more to serve our community.  Members sat down and drew up the bylaws that form the Foundation. They registered the Foundation to become a tax deductible 501 (c)(3) charitable association. Our membership is open to all active and retired employees of the South King Fire & Rescue, their families and any interested members of the Federal Way and Des Moines Communities. All members who work on projects and serve on the foundation are volunteers. There is no payroll being paid to any member.

Over the years, The Foundation supporters and projects have grown. The willingness of the members to give their time and money has been unbelievable.

The Foundation has grown to become an organization that works closely with the South King Fire & Rescue, South King Professional Firefighters Local 2024, and other civic organizations. With continued support of our members and local businesses, we look forward to many years of giving back to the community that has been so good to us.

Members of the Foundation include all those employed by the South King & Rescue and their families.  For more information about the Foundation, or to find out how you can get involved, use our “Contact Us” section.
